Wellbeing walk for Sydney war widows

Kokoda Track Memorial Walkway walk for war widows

We’re inviting war widows to join us for a guided walk at the Kokoda Memorial Track Walkway on Friday 14 November 2025. It’s a tranquil place to walk, reflect and connect with others. The guided tour will be followed by lunch and a guest speaker in the Education Centre.

It’s a relaxed day out designed to bring war widows together in remembrance and companionship, facilitated by our Wellbeing Team.

War widows walk

War widows are invited to a guided tour of the Kokoda Memorial Track Walkway. The Walkway is a peaceful and tranquil memorial featuring a magnificent Memorial Centrepiece surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, in stark contrast to the brutal and inhospitable conditions endured by those who fought in New Guinea. The Memorial Rose Garden features plaques dedicated to those who served.

The tour will be followed by a lunch and guest speaker in the Education Centre.

Transportation assistance to and from the Kokoda Memorial Track Walkway is available for those who meet the requirements of our War Widows Transport Program.
