Families of Veterans Guild

Empowering war widows and veteran families,
building resilience and hope

We are a community of war widows and families of veterans connected to defence service. At Families of Veterans Guild, you can build a network based on friendship, understanding, strength and support.

We’re a safe space – made up of people just like you.

To support the needs of war widows, this program is focused on wellbeing support provided through social connection and peer support.Β

This program exists to support veterans families accessing services, support and entitlement and to support their wellbeing while building knowledge and confidence.

Our relentless advocacy provides a voice for war widows and veteran families. We make sure your needs, views and opinions are heard.

Our Mission

To provide the defence and veteran family community with a voice, facilitate access to services, entitlements and support their social and emotional wellbeing.

Our Values

Respect, inclusivity, integrity, compassion, community, collaboration

Our Vision

To improve the lives of the families of Australian veterans.

What's on

We know that we’re stronger together. That’s why a fundamental part of what we do is provide opportunities for war widows to come together through our social clubs.Β

They are a safe space for our members to make new connections and build friendships with people who share similar experiences.

The purpose of these activities is to encourage the families of veterans to engage in self-care activities and expand their social network by connecting with like-minded people.

These activities are here for them to connect, meet like-minded peers, build a network and share wonderful insights and stories.

We host events for war widows and families of veterans each year, offering an opportunity for war widows and broader families to connect, support each other and commemorate together.

Major events held annually, include ANZAC Field of Remembrance, War Widows Day and Member only events such as our AGM.

Donate to Families of Veterans Guild
