We invite all war widows and their families to a Field of Remembrance cross personalising activity
With one of our biggest annual events, the ANZAC Field of Remembrance approaching, we warmly invite war widows to come together and adorn their Field of Remembrance crosses in Chatswood on Monday 14 of April 2025.
The ANZAC Field of Remembrance is a unique opportunity for war widows to be at the centre of a service, laying their own heartfelt tribute to their loved ones. In a moving ceremony, they plant a cross or lay a sprig of wattle in remembrance of their loved one and their family who have sacrificed so much.
Field of Remembrance cross personalising activity
War widows and their families are invited to join us in Chatswood for a special gathering where you can adorn your personal cross in memory of your loved ones. This activity will allow you to come together in the spirit of the ANZAC Field of Remembrance, personalising your tributes with heartfelt messages. These personalised crosses will be laid at St Andrew’s Cathedral in Sydney on 23 April 2025, during the ANZAC Field of Remembrance. This will be facilitated by our social worker Gabby Steel. Afternoon tea will be provided.
There is no cost for this activity. All resources will be covered by Families of Veterans Guild.
