Try clay art: free workshop for war widows, defence and veteran families
On Saturday 25 October 2025, we’re hosting a free clay art workshop at the Solid Rock Defence Ministry — and you’re invited. This session is open to all defence and veteran families, including war widows, partners, carers and adult children.
No experience is needed. Just come along, get hands-on with air dry clay, and enjoy a morning of creativity and connection. Led by our Wellbeing Team, this guided workshop supports focus, mindfulness and shared experience.
Clay art session
Families of Veterans Guild and Solid Rock Defence Ministry invite war widows, defence and veteran families to join us for our Clay Art Session.
Families will be guided to create art with clay. This clay sensory workshop offers a creative experience, allowing you to shape and paint clay designs for a hands-on, artistic project. Creating art with your hands can help boost focus, mindfulness and a sense of accomplishment. Afternoon tea will also be offered during the session.
There is no cost for this activity. Your clay art session will be covered by Families of Veterans Guild, and your afternoon tea will be covered by Solid Rock Defence Ministry.

Cost: FREE for families of veterans.
