Dear Members,
During such uncertain times, it is reassuring to reflect on the past and look to the future with hope and determination. We were inspired by the recent address made by Jennifer Collins (Non -Member Director and former Deputy Commissioner NSW, Department of Veterans\’ Affairs). She reminded us about the mission of our founder, Jessie Vasey, who recognised that women needed to help women to improve their quality of life.
With our founders\’ mission front of mind, we acknowledge her wise words; ‘we must become an inclusive group if we are to survive’. This was 65 years ago and is still relevant today, perhaps more than ever. As we look to the future, we are pleased to report that at the recent AGM on Thursday 27th March, the Board introduced an updated clause in the Constitution to widen the reach of who we support.
