Well than guess what…we have two vacancies for two individuals to join our team during April and May 2022.
Both positions are in our Communications and Events Team.
We want to hear from those with experience and passion in delivering communications and events outcomes.
The first position available in April 2022 is a Communications and Event Manager. The second position, available from May 2022 is a Communications and Events Officer.
The ideal candidate for the Communications and Events Manager has the following skills and attributes:
- Exceptional communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Highly enthusiastic, proactive, and driven work ethic.
- Able to manage competing priorities and timelines.
- Personal accountability and work autonomously under broad direction.
- Experience in a similar communication, member engagement or marketing role.
- Digital and social media communication skills and experience.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in visual and written content for social, digital and print media.
- Experience in guiding, leading and managing others.
- Experience and ability to oversee and manage communications projects and events to achieve outcomes. Including management and engagement with contractors.
- Experience in analysing and interpreting reporting analytics.
- Familiarity with content management systems, CRM databases and marketing platforms.
- Experience in event planning and management.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
The ideal candidate for the Communications and Events Officer has the following skills and attributes:
- Good communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Highly enthusiastic, proactive, and driven work ethic.
- Able to manage competing priorities and timelines.
- Personal accountability and work autonomously under broad direction.
- Experience in a similar communication, member engagement or marketing role.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in visual and written content for social, digital and print media.
- Good working knowledge of digital and social media platforms.
- Experience in creating basic reports.
- Familiarity with content management systems, CRM databases and marketing platforms.
- Familiarity with publishing and design software platforms.
- Experience in event coordination.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Desirable skills and attributes for both positions include:
- Knowledge of/experience within the veteran/ defence sector.
- Experience in delivery of events and commemorations within a military/ defence context.
- Communications, marketing or like qualifications.
- Familiarity with SEO optimisation.
Salary, term and benefits:
- Communications and Events Manager – Full time, initial 12 month contract (with option of extension), $90,000 pa, plus super.
- Communications and Events Officer – Full time, initial 12-month contract (with option of extension), $65,000 pa plus super.

You will also be entitled to 4 weeks annual leave paid annual leave, personal and sick leave and TOIL time when working outside standard work hours. Flexible working arrangements may also be provided.
