The latest AGM took place on Thursday 27th August, our first ever meeting via Zoom. During the meeting we heard a speech from Rhondda Vanzella OAM, President & Chair, War Widows NSW.
We were also delighted to welcome Jennifer Collins (War Widow member and Deputy Commissioner, Department of Veterans\’ Affairs). She reminded us about the mission of our founder, Jessie Vasey, who recognised that women needed to help women to improve their quality of life.
Our CEO, Madeline Dermatossian presented updates on our recent achievements, including new office location, streamlining the way we operate, improving welfare and our volunteering partnerships with Western Sydney University.
A further important update from the Board, was regarding the update to the constitution regarding the definition of the term \’War Widow\’.
