AWWNSW marks 50 years since the end of Australia\’s involvement in the Vietnam War

On April 29, we marked 58 years since Australian troops committed to the Vietnam War, and this year will mark 50 years since the end of Australia\’s involvement in this conflict.

Minister for Veterans’ Affairs Matt Keogh noted the significance of the Anniversary and paid tribute to those who served in the defence of our nation during the Vietnam War. \”This was a war that was at times contentious at home, and for some veterans their service not recognised as it should have been.” Minister Keogh said.

It is time to honour those veterans who have served in this conflict and their families who stood by their side, no matter what.

Former AWWNSW President Meg Green AM was interviewed by the ABC News channel on the day of our annual Field of Remembrance this year to talk about this anniversary and our work as an organisation.
Thank you Arianna Levy and the ABC News for this interview.
