On 9 September 2022 we joined the world in mourning the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Though we knew she wasn’t well, it was still a shock to hear of her passing.
Her Majesty was of course more than our Monarch – she was veteran of the Second World War, the spouse of a veteran, a mother of veterans and a war widow. She embodied what it means to serve and demonstrated her commitment to others in a way that we can only aspire to be like.
An incredible leader who served with humility and honour. Her Majesty inspired all of us to be better people. Though she has now parted this world, her legacy, her work, and the inspiration she gave us will live on. Thank you, Your Majesty. Now may you rest – your work is done.
