Thrive in 2026: Vision board session for Sydney veteran families

Kicking off 2026 with a vision board session for war widows, defence and veteran families

Join us on Saturday 31 January 2026 for a free vision board workshop facilitated by our Wellbeing Team. In this relaxed, supportive space, you’ll explore your hopes and goals for the year ahead and create a personalised vision board that reflects your aspirations and wellbeing priorities.

It’s a chance to pause, reflect and look forward with purpose as we step into the new year, all while connecting with others who understand the unique journey of defence life. No experience is needed; just bring your creativity and materials will be provided to you.

Vision board session

War widows, defence and veteran families are invited to join our Thrive in 2026: Vision board session designed to inspire connection, creativity, and forward planning. Using craft materials, participants will explore their hopes and goals for the year ahead, creating personalised “Thrive in 2026” vision boards that reflect their aspirations and wellbeing priorities. Guided by social workers, Gabby and Hayley, the session will provide supportive activities, gentle encouragement, and a warm virtual space for participants to reflect, create, and look ahead with positivity. During the session, light refreshments will be provided.

Hop on the Metro train (just a quick 14min ride from either Central to Chatswood or Ryde to Chatswood). Feel free to explore the lively streets of Chatswood, with its great shops, dining, and unique attractions.

There is no cost for this activity. Your vision board session and morning tea will be covered by Families of Veterans Guild.

Previous attendees to wellbeing activities said “I just wanted to express my gratitude for being able to connect with such a wonderful group. It was such a great opportunity to do a self-care activity and get to know some of the other attendees at the same time.”
