Have your say and help shape a future free from gender-based violence

Have your say and help shape a future free from gender-based violence in Australia.

It is important that the voices of those within the Defence and Veteran community are heard.

We know far too little about gender-based violence within the Defence and Veteran community. We know it exists, we know that women who experience it are at times silenced by the system or struggle to know where to turn, what to do or even recognise that the behaviour they are experiencing is not okay. We need to know more so that we can help.

The Australian Government is developing the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022-2032 (National Plan) to replace the existing National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children 2010–2022.

It is important that the voices of those within the Defence and Veteran community are heard and featured in this National Plan.

The Draft National Plan is now available and open for consultation. We encourage all of those within our community to participate in the consultation. We are here to help you.
