Try clay art: online workshop for war widows, defence and veteran families
On Wednesday 3 June 2026, we’re hosting a free air dry clay workshop — and you’re invited to join from the comfort of your own home! This session is open to all defence and veteran families, including war widows, partners, carers and children.
No experience is needed. Just come along, get hands-on with air dry clay, and enjoy a night of creativity and connection. Facilitated by our Wellbeing Team, this workshop aims to provide relaxation, self-expression and fun.
Air dry clay workshop
War widows, defence and veteran families are warmly invited to join a creative evening of air-dry clay art. A complete kit will be provided, making it easy to join in from the comfort of your own home. Facilitated by social workers, Evelyn and Gabby, this session offers a relaxed space to connect with peers while engaging in a hands-on activity. Working with air-dry clay encourages relaxation, and self-expression, allowing you to slow down and enjoy the process of mindful art.
There is no cost for this activity. Your clay kit and postage will be covered by Families of Veterans Guild.
Previous attendees to wellbeing activities said “I really enjoyed unwinding and chatting to others online. It was an enjoyable creative opportunity for self care.”
