War Widows Day 2023 Photo Gallery

War Widows Day was observed for the second time in NSW on 19 October.

This year we worked closely with Sydney Legacy to expand the reach of the day and involve even more war widows around Sydney. We are looking forward to growing the regional element of War Widows Day in 2024 through developing similar partnerships around the state. Together, our teams joined to deliver a beautiful event and Service and it was an honour to work side by side to recognise the sacrifices of these amazing women.

Seeing so many gathering in Martin Place for the service to honour our war widows was a demonstration of how important it is for war widows and families of our veterans to be recognised and valued nation-wide. We are encouraging all to sign our petition to make this day a national day, petition can be signed here.

Our fundraising campaign \”buy a widow a coffee\” is still open until the end of October and the purchase of our War Widows Day 2023 Lapel Pins is available until the end of November.

To our war widows: this day was for you and about you. We are proud to serve and learn from you every day.
