There’s always something happening in our community – because staying connected, supported and informed matters. Our What’s On page brings together information on gatherings, wellbeing activities, annual events and online webinars designed especially for war widows and the families of veterans.

Whether you’re looking to meet others with shared experiences, take part in a wellbeing workshop, attend a commemorative event, or join an informative webinar – you’ll find it here. These programs are part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the wellbeing, connection and resilience of defence and veteran families across Australia.

Wellbeing Activities

With multiple transitions and adjustments due to ADF service, it can be challenging for defence and veteran families to find connection and support in the community. Our free wellbeing activities offer the opportunity for defence and veteran families, including war widows, to find understanding and support among a group of peers.

Our wellbeing activities are here to create a place for defence and veteran Families to connect, meet like-minded peers, build a network and share wonderful insights and powerful stories. This program shines the light on the families of veterans.

Annual Events

We host events for war widows and families of veterans each year, offering an opportunity for war widows and broader families to connect, support each other and commemorate together.

Major events held annually, include ANZAC Field of Remembrance, War Widows Day and Members only events such as our AGM.

War Widows Gatherings

We know that we’re stronger together. That’s why a fundamental part of what we do is provide opportunities for war widows to come together through our social clubs.

They are a safe space for our members to make new connections and build friendships with people who share similar experiences.
