ANZAC Field of Remembrance
The ANZAC Field of Remembrance honours and pays tribute to those who have served and gave their lives in service to our nation
In a moving ceremony, war widows, families and guests plant a cross with the name of their passed loved one, place a sprig of wattle or rosemary for those who have served and sacrificed so much.
This poignant service continues to give the widows of war and their families the opportunity to continue history and the legacy set back in 1952. It also recognises the losses and sacrifice of war widows and families who bare an enormous burden for our nation and their lifelong role in supporting veterans who have fallen, been wounded, injured or with illness.
We encourage all war widows, members, volunteers and members of the veteran’s community to be involved in the ANZAC Field of Remembrance during April of every year. If you missed this years service, you can view the live recording below.
If you have any questions, please email guild@fov.org.au or call 02 9267 6577.
Honour your loved one with a tribute in the Virtual ANZAC Field of Remembrance
We understand that not everyone is able to attend the service but would still like to lay a tribute. Every year when the ANZAC Field of Remembrance is upcoming, the opportunity arises to pre-purchase a wooden memorial cross with your loved one’s name and message, and we will lay it at the ANZAC Field of Remembrance in Sydney on your behalf. Crosses are free for war widows.
All year around you can also honour a loved one who served by placing a free tribute in our Virtual Field.
You can lay a tribute online by adding your loved one’s name and a personal message. Every tribute becomes part of a shared act of remembrance, honouring not only our veterans, but also the families who carry their legacy.
