]]> Congratulations to AWWNSW Board Director and former Chair Jennifer Collins who has been appointed Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia. The Australia Day 2023 Honours List was announced by the Governor-General of Australia.

Jennifer has been recognised for her significant service to veterans and their families, and to nursing.

Jennifer has been actively involved in the veteran and family community since 2004 and AWWNSW is privileged to have her serve on our board.

Jennifer has led major reform in service delivery for widows and their families from the Middle East area of operation along with the development and implementation of a client support program focused on seriously ill and injured veterans.

We congratulate Jennifer and all of those recognised in the Australia Day Honours, particularly those who serve our community.

]]> Congratulations to AWWNSW Board Director Major General Susan Coyle CSC DSM who has been appointed Member (AM) of the Order of Australia during the Australia Day 2022 Honours List announced by the Governor-General. 

This was awarded for exceptional performance of duty as the Commander Joint Task Force 633 on Operation ACCORDION from January to November 2020. 

AWWNSW is privileged to have Major General Susan Coyle CSC DSM serve on our Board for the benefit of our organisation and members. 

We congratulate the dozens of Defence personnel and all 1,040 Australians who have been recognised for their outstanding service during this year’s Australia Day honours list.
