As an organisation that currently represents over 2,000 older women, we are deeply concerned about the issues and incidents highlighted in the findings from the Aged Care Royal Commission report.

On behalf of our members and all older Australians, we expect the recommendations to be implemented to lift the quality and standards of care of some of our most vulnerable Australians.

We welcome the Australian Governments’ significant investment in the sector to ensure older Australians receive the respect and care that supports their dignity and recognises the contribution they have made to society.

We are also supportive of the Commissions’ vision for the future which, similar to ours, is person centric.

AWW NSW will continue to advocate for the needs of all women and families connected to defence service, including our older members. We provide a voice for our members and ensure their views are represented across all policy domains that impact them.

Read the final report of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.

The post Aged Care Royal Commission first appeared on Families of Veterans Guild.
